About

Hi everyone!  My name is Donna.  I live in Shelby, Alabama, which is located about thirty minutes south of Birmingham.  I am a mother, daughter, sister and friend.

I have been visiting the land of blog for a while now and I find that it has so many wonderful things to offer.  It has the most incredibly delicious food from every culture imaginable, art and craft that only inspire and for a land of so many, it has the friendliest people you could ever know.

So yes, that’s right!  I have decided to become a permanent resident.  Where else can you find all of this?  I hope to soak in all of its diverse culture and pass on what I learn to others.  All the while doing what I love more than anything else…..creating.  Thanks for visiting!

Your friend,

Donna

  1. Hi Donna!

So great to meet you here in blog-land. I got through your Jan. 23rd blog post, and after wiping the drool off my keyboard, I had to hit “Follow!” I can’t wait to see what else you can inspire me to make. I love to cook and am always looking for something new to try. So great to make a new food-loving friend!

    Be well!

  5. Hi Donna! Your blog site is so well-put together, and some of your recipes have made it onto my ever-growing list of things to try 🙂 Your king cake brought back lots of memories… grew up near B’ham too (Trussville) but my college roommate from LA introduced me to the craziness that is king cake! Live in CO and no one knows what they are here 😉 Will be making some biscotti soon- thanks for posting!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words and for stopping by my blog. I am thrilled you have found some recipes that you want to try! It is a small world isn’t it. I work near Trussville where you grew up. If you make some of the recipes please do share with me. Thanks again!

  6. Thanks for reading and liking my blog! I absolutely loved the “glass of milk for the kiddies”. I have 4 children ( they all think they’re “only’s”) so I love special tips like this with which I can spoil them once in a while. I’ve been peaking around at some of the other posts- what a treat! Lovely photography too. Well done!

    1. Thank you for such sweet comments! The kiddies really do love treats like this don’t they! Thanks for visiting my little blog and I look forward to keeping up with you as well!

  7. Fantastic blog! I have to be careful not to read it AFTER breakfast, cuz now I am suddenly hungry again! Thanks for the following! And I now have a blog to run to if I need a fresh recipe! 🙂

    1. Thank you! I have been reading over your posts and plan to go back and read them all. I find it so interesting to learn about French culture and I love the beauty tips and advice!!!!

  8. Donna, nice to meet you and thanks for supporting my pleasure and guilt *smile – love you strawberry scones. Love scones and living in UK/Ireland for 20 years … I got the clotted cream to my scones. … a pleasure with a guilt.

  10. Hi! Thanks so much for liking my post and following my blog – I have been trying to thank you and let you know I’m following you now, for about 15 minutes but I keep being distracted by all the great recipes. Chicken Satay?!?! I LOVE that and have always wanted a recipe. The great thing is, I have all the items I need – and then there is the Buffalo Chicken Rolls and the CHEESECAKE. My goodness, I knew it would take me an hour to get through everything so I stopped to thank you before I forgot my manners. So glad to meet you. Kelli

  11. Hai Dona… Thanks for the follow and visit. You have a gorgeous blog here.. it is o beautiful that anyone would fall at the first sight itself….I truly love your blog and glad that I found you. 🙂

  12. Hi there Donna! Lovely to find you and your luscious food today. Thank you so much for your visit to my blog and the click to like! I love pecans after a year in Virginia as an AFS student a long time ago, so I also got a kick out of your blog title. Nicely expressed “About” intro too! best wishes, Philippa

  13. Thanks so much for visiting my blog! Followed you back to your lovely & luscious blog. My father grew up in pecan country in Oklahoma, so your title caught my interest right away. As we’d say in the South, ya’ll come back, now!
