Hi everyone! I have been looking over recipes and trying to decide what I will be sharing with you this week. There are so many recipes I’ve been wanting to try and just can’t seem to make up my mind what it’s going to be. Meanwhile, I thought I would share some more art with you. This is a replica of Van Gogh’s (of course) “Irises May”. I love this painting. It just lifts my spirits to see it, which I guess is why it is in my living room. This is the first painting that I used more of a “free style”. I usually painstakingly draw the picture out before I begin to paint it, but this painting had so much going on, it made that kind of hard to do. Which as it turns out was a good thing. I need to learn to do more of that.
Painting, just like cooking, crocheting, taking pictures or doing anything creative is therapeutic for me. Lord knows I need therapy! So let me create people! I know there are many of you out there that know exactly what I’m saying. You know who you are. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the art and please share more of your work with me.
With love,
Donna
